Fall 2013 Florida Races, Events, Tours & Kayak Parades
There are several great events coming up this fall:
Sunday August 25th 750am Captain's meeting
Paddling Pasco Bluesway Program Anclotte River Sponge Docks Paddling Adventure - Paddling from Anclotte Gulf Park to the Alternate 19 bridge along the Sponge Docks and possibly stopping at Paddling Pasco's private island. Durney Key Sunset Paddle - A group of 20-30 kayakers of all ages will be paddling out from the Salt Springs Park to Durney Key which is at the mouth of the Cotte River (Pithlachascotte). A second group of 4 paddlers will be paddling a longer route from the Sims Park dock to Durney Key joining the main group. For registration, map & times see the link below.

Saturday September 21st
Coastal Cleanup Paddling Pasco - A group will gather at Anclotte Gulf Park at 330pm and patrol the coastline north. There will be a dive club joining us. We will have a canoe to collect the garbage. We are hoping to have some commemorative shirts for the first 20 registered with the county. Contact Rick Buckman at fbuckman@pascocountyfl.net

Water Monkey Treasure Island - 8 mile endurance race. This is one of the most fun races all year circumnavigating completely around Treasure Island including gulf, intercoastal, blind pass and the famous Johns Pass. River Lights Boat Parade New Port Richey, FL - 20 to 40 paddlers will be leading the annual Christmas boat parade & competing for prizes. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a commemorative plaque with a picture of your unique entry. Entrant are encouraged to use lights, music, costumes, decorations, etc to match the theme & will be escorted by a police boat. Judging will be at Sims Park followed by the motorized boat parade.

Double Dawg Dare 5K Run & 3K Paddle Race - Nobody does an event or has event facilities like Gill Dawgs Marina in Port Richey. This race will be so much fun. The after party at their facilities will rival all Florida events. Custom medals will be awarded for the 5K Run, 3K paddle and Overall fastest male & female competitor as well as relay partners who split up the event as teams. http://www.dawgdare.com/Race-Information.html
