The popular New Port Richey Florida Salt Springs Classic kayak, Surfski, OC-1 and SUP race 2016 which has been held every year in April or May has been scheduled for the fall this year likely sometime in September.  Check back here for exact date TBA.  They are planning a newly designed course featuring the beautiful skinny water along the Park's coast line. The race will starting in the park, running down the length of the Werner Boyce Salt Springs State Park coastline and finally returning to the starting point.  Long course 6 miles.  A 3 to 4 mile fun paddle and a race is also planned with prizes in all categories.
