1st Annual Durney Key Challenge April 28th 2013
Paddling Pasco “Durney Key Challenge” 1st Annual Event: This is a 2.3 mile paddling race course around stilt houses in open water starting and ending on Durney Key, a small island just off the mouth of the Pithlachascotee (Cotee) River in Port Richey, Pasco County. Along the course there will be 10 unique challenges testing paddling skills and endurance. Date: Sunday April 28, 2013 Time: Ch eck in on the island 8:30 to 9:30 am. The Captains (rules) meeting is at 10 am sharp on the island. The first wave of participants starts at 10:30 am. Awards will be at a local venue, Hooters on Millers Bayou at 1:45 pm. Race Classes: Under 20, 20 to 40, Over 40. Awards will be 3 deep in each class. Registration: Early registration is $25.00.
